Anthropic Launches Claude Dashboards and Motion

Anthropic has launched two new beta tools named Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion. These tools aim to transition their AI platform, Claude, from simply answering questions to creating live, interactive dashboards and animated presentations that can be directly used by businesses.

New Functionalities in Beta

Claude Dashboards connects to company data from systems like Salesforce or Snowflake, allowing it to build and update charts as underlying data changes. This enables users to visually analyze data-driven answers to business questions such as sales performance drops. Meanwhile, Claude Motion creates short animations from reports or charts, generating code that allows for easy editing of words, numbers, and transitions. The tools are in beta; Dashboards is accessible on paid plans while Motion is on Team and Enterprise plans.

Besides these beta tools, other features such as Claude Docs, Slides, and Design have moved out of beta and are now available on all Claude plans, including the free tier. Furthermore, the new integration with Adobe allows Motion animations to be opened in Firefly Video Editor, giving access to over 80 editing tools across various Adobe apps. The capability to refine AI-generated content with professional editing tools represents a significant step towards AI-generated results being ready for practical use.

This development highlights a shift in AI applications from merely providing answers to potentially producing actionable, finished work artifacts. It underscores the importance of reliable and correct data representation, emphasizing the need for inspectable and verifiable outputs, rather than merely aesthetically pleasing presentations.
