Your AI-built app works in the demo, but not with real users

You built it yourself with Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0 or another AI app builder — and it was genuinely impressive. Then real people started using it. Logins fail now and then, data ends up in the wrong place, and every prompt that fixes one thing breaks two others. This is the most common story in vibe coding, and it is not your fault. Here is why it happens, and why we rebuild these apps instead of patching them.

Signs your prototype has hit its limit

  • —It works in the preview but fails in production, or only for some users.
  • —The AI tool goes in circles: each fix introduces a new bug, and you spend more on credits than on progress.
  • —Login, payments or email are unreliable.
  • —One user can see — or change — another user's data.
  • —You are not sure whether API keys or the database are exposed.
  • —You cannot move the app off the platform, or you do not know what you would be moving.
  • —Nobody, including you, can explain how the app actually works.

Why this happens

AI app builders are optimised to get to something that looks finished as fast as possible. That makes them excellent for prototypes. But the parts that make an app safe to run with real users — the data model, access rules, authentication, error handling, backups — are invisible in a demo, so nobody designs them. Each prompt adds code for one request without seeing the whole, and the app grows faster than anyone can understand it.

None of that means the prototype was a waste. It proved the idea, it shows exactly what the product should do, and it is the best specification a developer could ask for.

Why we rebuild instead of patching

Fixing generated code nobody designed means first paying someone to understand it, then fixing issues that keep resurfacing because the foundation is the problem. It is slow, it is hard to estimate, and at the end you still have code nobody understands.

A rebuild uses your prototype as the blueprint: the same screens, the same flows, the same idea — on a clean structure designed for real users. With AI-assisted development this is fast, and because our price is fixed, a proper rebuild costs you the same as a patch job would.

What the rebuild looks like

  1. Analyze the prototype

We go through the app, its data and the platform it runs on, and list what works, what is broken and what is risky.

  2. Keep what works

Your design, your flows and your wording carry over. We agree with you on what changes and why.

  3. Rebuild the foundation

Proper authentication, a database with access rules, reliable payments and email, and hosting — all in accounts registered to you, not to a platform or to us.

  4. Move your data and users

Existing users and data are migrated to the new app, so nobody has to start over.

  5. Keep building with AI — safely

We personally train you to keep changing the app with AI: small, scoped changes, checked and published safely, on a foundation that holds.

A typical case

Products we build this way

We build and run our own products with the same AI-assisted approach we use for client rebuilds. Two of them are live:

Price and timeline

The rebuild is $450, fixed, whatever the size of the app, including the analysis, the new app, data migration and one-on-one AI training. It usually takes two to four weeks. Payment is upfront, and you get 100% back if you are not satisfied. We build for the web: web apps and websites, not native iOS or Android apps.

Frequently asked questions

Can you just fix the bugs in my Lovable, Bolt or Replit app?

No — we rebuild rather than patch. Patching generated code nobody designed is slow and unpredictable, and the problems tend to come back. A rebuild keeps your design and flows, fixes the foundation, and costs the same fixed $450.

Will I lose my users and data?

No. Existing users and data are migrated to the rebuilt app.

Can I keep my design?

Yes. The prototype is the blueprint: the screens, flows and wording carry over. We only change what needs to change, and we agree on it with you first.

Can I keep using AI to change the app afterwards?

Yes — that is the point of the training. You learn to make small, scoped changes with AI, check the result and publish safely, so the app stays healthy as it grows.

Is my AI-built app insecure?

Not necessarily, but the most common problems are API keys exposed in the browser and databases without proper access rules, so one user can read another's data. We check for both during the analysis.

How much does it cost and how long does it take?

$450, fixed, whatever the size of the app. It usually takes two to four weeks, with a 100% refund on request.
